bH Redesign

I've just installed a new theme - what do you think?  I like that it hangs on to the green of the old theme, but mellows it out a bit with some nice, web-2.0-compliant polished blue. If you're viewing this using Internet Explorer, you've probably noticed that the left-hand column is all scrunched together at the bottom on the page.  It's time to join the rest of the planet ...

The New blogHarrisburg Forums

I'm currently in the process of giving the bH forums a much-needed scrubbing.  The new forums will be integrated into blogHarrisburg much more tightly than before, and should be much less abrasive on the eyes.  Additionally, the forums have been compressed down into four major topic areas, making it easier to find what you're looking for. There are currently two forum packages I'm evaluating.  The first can be accessed ...

New Harrisburg Forums

Well, almost new. If you've grown weary of the bickering, politics, spam, and arbitrary censorship of some of the other local forums, take a look at the "new" blogHarrisburg forums over at forums.blogharrisburg.com. "New" is in quotes because the forums themselves are a transplant from floor9.com; think of them as "pre-primed" with a few thousand messages. There are already topics in place to cover nightlife, entertainment, local living, and ...

New to bH: Central PA Gazelle

Welcome to our latest contributor, the Central PA Gazelle!  The CPG joins the ranks of the already well-established locals currently syndicating on bH.  More of a Central-PA themed The Onion than a solid news source, the Central PA Gazelle represents something not often seen in our local blogging community -- humor.  Unfortunately, the site lacks an email address or contact button, so we're not able to personally welcome ...

Unify and Amplify. Those are the two words that best describe what blogHarrisburg is all about. I've spent considerable time trying to come up with a catchy-yet-meaningful way of explaining blogHarrisburg in marketing-speak, but the simple truth is that nothing comes close to "unify and amplify". And in a way, I suppose it's only fitting that a website devoted to bolstering the area's independent media is best served by ...

Introducing blogHarrisburg mobile

Want to keep up with the latest news and views from Harrisburg while on the go?  blogHarrisburg is now available in a PDA- and phone-friendly version!  blogHarrisburg mobile (bHm) is a stripped-down version of the site that's specially formatted to be easily viewable on your PDA or cell phone.  The best part of bHm is that it's completely hassle-free; bH will automatically detect that you're using a mobile ...

blogHarrisburg.com

If you haven’t checked it out yet, you should. blogHarrisburg is a new local site which ties all the independent local Harrisburg bloggers together. All the posts from Floor9, Sara Bozich, Jersey Mike and more are all listed and indexed in one place. If you don’t have a newsreader or use an [...]

blogHarrisburg is going to be undergoing some cosmetic changes over these next few days. We're looking for a clean, well-organized theme that's news-worthy, but still easy on the eyes. Although we already have a few favorites lined up to try out, we'd love to hear your thoughts! Head over to the blogHarrisburg Forums and give us your feedback or suggestions.
